Clint Dempsey – compared to EPL’s best strikers & forwards

Is the hype surrounding Fulham’s want-away forward worth it? Can the London club really expect to get a good transfer fee for him? On the other hand, why is Dempsey only being linked with Liverpool, shouldn’t other top clubs be vying for his signature? EPL Index helps us answer some of these questions by providing an intriguing statistical analysis of his performance last season side-by-side with that of the league’s top strikers (RVP, Rooney, Aguero & Suarez,) and some wide forwards (Kuyt, Gervinho, Sturridge & Sinclair). The comparison is eye-opening and is a must see for those wishing to understand some of the facts behind Dempsey’s contribution last season.

I think he refused to train with Fulham or didn’t go one of the tours. RVP, Modric and now Dempsey…..

Yeah, its becoming a strategy used by players who want to leave and don’t have any qualms regarding upsetting the club or its fans. “Player power” doesn’t only exist, it’s rampant. Do players have the right to effectively go on strike to catch a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fulfill their personal ambition and maybe even achieve championship glory? I’m not quite sure where I stand on this once I put my emotions aside regarding RVP.

Dempsey seems to not be as respected as a potential signing as he should be, it is the old story where if his name was Clinti Dempzi he would be demanded by the fans of the biggest teams, btw Welcome to the “Why the Hell Not?” league!

True! I would like him at Arsenal although not over Santi. However he would be a squad player who would push Giroud for the CF spot. Better than Chamakh, Park and Bendtner.

There is def some examples of a clear-out needed at Aresnal but that is expected with the more potential/experimental transfer policy at Arsenal and when it works, it really works!

As a Man United ST holder I honestly have no idea about our potential transfers but I am def not one of those fickle fans who demand big mega money transfers and then become dissappointed everytime a speculation does not come to us

Dempsey at United? Hmmmm Rooney, Wellbeck and Hernandez along with Young, Nani, Valencia, Kagawa should be enough. Of course if you get RVP then thats a loaded squad! but from a Fantasy point of view I dont know which one to pick!!!

Hopefully Cleverly can have an injury free season for you guys and I think Fletcher going missing was a big loss last year.

Don’t see Dempsey as a United target either, seems like the Lucas Moura transfer could be the priority after Sir Alex missing the match last night but could that be for RVP, also our Cave of Man Head2Head league is open code: 473407-154687
