On Wednesday, La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that a 15-million euro deal was all but agreed to, with Milan CEO Adriano Galliani confirming the move was proceeding quickly. “The meeting went very well, but the negotiations are still not complete. We’ll meet again in Sao Paulo at the start of the year,” he told reporters.

Yes, he had the ability to be a pillar on which the club rested in this new era, but his unreliability makes him expendable. With big names leaving this past summer, this was supposedly set to be the season he finally made his name at San Siro, yet six months later with injuries restricting him to just four league appearances, he is set for the exit door.
