Tim Cahill – A tribute

Tim Cahill formerly of Milwall has moved from Everton to New York Red Bulls.

Cahill is a TKTG favourite and will be remembered for his late runs in the box; fantastic headers;  a great fantasy pick as a goal scoring midfielder and more importantly for a sense of loyalty. As an Arsenal fan I wished we could have signed him.

He could have easily moved to another team and used the cliched line of “I want to win trophies” but he stayed true to Everton since they signed him for £1.75 million from Millwall in 2004.

You will be missed!

Below are some of the best tributes to him from various sources:

From NSNO – an Everton fan website has a personal tribute to Tim Cahill.

Richard Jolly in Soccernet writes “His height was average, his impact huge.”

While  the article by Mike Calvin is also a good read.

And finally a short video tribute from the official Everton FC website.
