Brendan Rodgers faces an uphill battle to reestablish Liverpool as a force to be reckoned with in the new Premier League season. He is tasked with the responsibility not only to cut the clubs inflated wage bill, but also add a couple of fresh faces to rejuvenate the squad. Daniel Agger has recently been linked with a big-money move to rivals Man City, and it will be interesting to see whether the Reds cash in to fund additional transfers.
