Arsenal Interviews – Giroud, Cazorla, Ox Chamberlain

In the last few days a number of Arsenal players have been interviewed by various members of the press. We bring you the best three – Ox Chamberlain, Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud.

Oxlade-Chamberlain who is on the FIFA 13 cover is interviewed by John Cross.

“I think everyone likes to say they would like to be like Iniesta and Xavi – people like that. Iniesta, you’ll see him playing in midfield and then you’ll see him drifting out wide and he’ll take players on and he scores goals. He sees through balls and at the same time he keeps things ticking and he’ll tackle.

“So I think someone like Iniesta, or even a Steven Gerrard – I’ve been watching him since I was a young lad and back in his early days I remember he used to make bursting runs from deep all the way up front and get in the box and score goals. And Frank Lampard used to as well.”

Olivier Giroud in the Guardian interviewed by Amy Lawrence.

“”It’s a good example for Arsenal. We don’t have the money of the Manchester clubs or Chelsea. Arsenal builds its team through training, through recruiting players who can become something. Arsenal has less money than some other clubs so we have to fight with other values. The collective, the group spirit, is good. We have an important role to play in this championship.” Is it possible to win the league? “Honestly, it will be complicated. Because the competition is fierce. But who knows?”

Santi Cazorla in the Mirror.

” It’s a great team, with a very important history in the English game. I know they’ve been interested in me for a few years and that means a lot to me. It is a good fit for me.

“Here there is a faster rhythm to the game, a higher tempo. In Spain games are more cautious, more tactical. Here is more tempo, more toing and froing, but I like it.”
